It is in 1852 that the history of the Maison Fouquet begins at 36 rue Laffitte in Paris.
Originally, the store offered mainly jars of jams.
Claude Monet was one of the first customers of this Parisian confectioner where he succumbed at each visit to the delicious violet candies of the store.
In 1900, the Parisian store was taken over by the Chambeau-Mimard family, who diversified the House’s expertise by incorporating a range of confectionery products.
The Fouquet tea room quickly became the meeting place of many Parisian artists.

28 years later, Fouquet is so successful with its confectionery that a new store is opened at 22 rue François 1er in the heart of the Parisian Golden Triangle.
A few years later, two other boutiques were established in Paris.

In the 1960s, after the post-war crisis, Fouquet consolidated its success and became the most renowned confectionery and delicatessen brand in Paris.

Between 1970 and 2004, Christophe Chambeau will play a central role in the destiny of the family chocolate factory. The latter will have the ingenuity to modernize the production and to extend the notoriety of the brand abroad while widening the range of chocolates.
This success allowed Catherine Vaz and Frédéric Chambeau to take the brand overseas a few years later: sales outlets were opened in Tokyo, Taiwan and New York.

In 2021, the brand has decided to sell all its ranges on the web.
